Rise 360: Restrict a File Attachment block

Jan 29, 2021

In Rise 360, can I restrict a user from Continuing until they first open (download) a File Attachment block?

When I tried this, the Continue button looks restricted in Edit mode, yet becomes active in Preview mode.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for reaching out! File attachment blocks are not counted as an interactive block, and Rise does not track if the file was downloaded or not.

Interactive blocks that will trigger the Continue block are the following:
  • carousel blocks
  • checkbox lists
  • audio blocks
  • video blocks
  • accordions
  • tabs
  • labeled graphics
  • processes
  • sorting activities, flashcards, knowledge checks, and scenario blocks.

I can suggest adding an interactive block after the file attachment block, and then adding the Continue Block. You can a checkbox list that has "Download file attachment" as one of the items, just as a reminder to the learner, and checking this off will trigger the Continue Block after. Hope that helps!
