Hello, I have two course in LearnUpon that are very slow to load. They were created in Rise and uploaded as a SCORM file. Do you have any suggestions on what we may need to fix to make it load faster?
Hi Karl, thank you so much for your response! And yes, these courses have a lot of embedded videos (much more than we typically use). I was worried that may be the issue. I am wondering if maybe I should upload the videos to YouTube and then just add the YouTube links into the course. Do you think that would help?
Putting your videos on YouTube or Vimeo will make your SCORM file a lot smaller, so they will load quicker.
However, there is no way of checking if an external video was actually watched, so be aware of the difference compared to embedded videos where you can use a CONTINUE block.

Hi,
How large are each of the two ZIP files?
One is 230,000 KB and the other is 320,000 KB.
Does that seem too big?
Hi,
Those files are huge compared to our ZIP files.
Do you use a lot of embedded video?
Out of about 100 courses, our largest ZIP file is 39,927 KB.
The average is about 10,000 KB
The larger the file, the longer it is going to take to load the course in the LMS.
