Rise is eating my RAM

I'm using Safari Version 16.6 (18615.3.12.11.2) on a M2 MacBook and Rise gets really bogged down after an hour or so. Safari will often reload the page as it is 'using significant energy' or 'using significant memory'.

At the moment I'm in a course with one very simple page consisting of a text block followed by a storyline block followed by another text block - that's it! Activity monitor currently looks like this:

Anything I can do? (I don't have any browser extensions).
