Have you considered building the sorting activity in Storyline, then embedding it in Rise using a Storyline Block? That way, you have the freedom to fully customize the activity without any restrictions.
Give it a try, and let me know if you'd like some help along the way!
I have created the attached in Storyline. I am trying to drop the food items into the food groups at the bottom of the attached slide . Can you help me please with the change state trigger I need to do this?
I designated some of your items as drop targets and drop items so that Storyline would know:
which items can be dragged and dropped, and
where they should correctly go.
You'll want to finish designating correct responses, and you can use the states panel to determine how the objects should look when they're dropped on a category.
I also removed some player features so that it will look in line with your Rise lesson.
Thanks you Crystal that is extremely helpful. At this stage I am going to suggest we use 4 boxes on RISE as the course will look cleaner but if content experts come back to me I will definitely use the work you have done here and also have for future reference too.

Hi there, Dave. The first thing I did with your file was convert that slide to a Freeform Drag-and-Drop interaction. That way, Storyline does most of the work to create that interaction for you!
I designated some of your items as drop targets and drop items so that Storyline would know:
You'll want to finish designating correct responses, and you can use the states panel to determine how the objects should look when they're dropped on a category.

I hope that helps get you off to a good start!

Many Thanks again,
