Is there any way to export the Rise transcript like from Storyline? I would like to do the translations, but the XLF file appears impossible to read or run through a machine translator. Am I missing something?
For now, you can only do Rise translations using XLF. But you are right in that you will be using a machine translator to do the translation, as stated in this article.
What machine translator are you using? Even if you are doing it manually, there should be a source field where the text is shown in the original language and a target field where you can type in the text in the target language. The screenshot below is taken from an online translation service called Smartcat.
You can also avail of a translation service. You can provide them with the XLF file and hand off the translated file to you once they are finished. You can then import it back into your course.
You may also want to check in with your machine translator support to ensure you have the correct steps to translate the XLF file.
