Hi Nicole! There can only be one owner of a course, and only that course's owner can share the course with learners, publish it to Articulate Review to collect feedback from stakeholders, and export it for hosting in an LMS or web server. More on collaborative authoring in Rise can be found here! The original owner could transfer ownership to someone else, but unfortunately it's not possible to have simultaneous ownership.
You also have a Course Manager, which comes close to what a Course Owner do do:
The Course Owner can do everything.
A Course Manager can do everything except edit labels, transfer ownership, and delete the course. When a course manager publishes a course to Review 360, it's published to the course owner's account rather than the course manager's account.
A Course Collaborator can edit the course but doesn’t have access to Settings, Share, Review, or Export.
I have a single license for my business and my client just purchased a license for her business. How can I transfer ownership from my courses to her? I have sent her a copy, but when she tries to import into her LMS she is getting errors. If I do the exporting, it works well.
Hi Marcela! You did the right thing by sending a copy of the course to your client. If the exported file doesn't import into her LMS correctly, we can help her resolve that. She should send us the LMS output file by opening a case, and we'll test it from our side.

Hello!
Considering this post was 2 years ago, is it still impossible to have two owners of a Rise course? thank you!
Holly
Hi Holly,
You can only have one course owner per course.

Thanks Karl!

Hi Marcela,
In order to do an actual transfer of Course Owner, both you and your client need to have Articulate 360 Teams licenses.
If you both have teams licenses, you can easily transfer ownership to your client, and you will become a course collaborator.
If either one of you have an individual account, you cannot directly transfer ownership. Your only option would be to email a copy of the course.
If the export done by your client does not work using a copy of your course, it most likely means they are using different export settings.
