Will an embedded javascript/html code snippet affect my LMS rise export? Also will it work on mobile?
My friend coded a glossary for RISE that links to a code snippet that makes a popup. Will it work on mobile? Will it affect my LMS export? Let me know! Thanks!
Code snippets in Rise 360 don't actually execute code. They act just like a text block except that they're formatted differently, so they won't have any impact on the way your course behaves.
I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Emmy, you'll code will work as in any other html+js app. You should test it in the devices/browsers than your intended audience will likely use and be prepared for strange bugs on iPads and IE11...
The main concern of adding extra code to Rise exports is that you'll lose all your editings if you have to change the main content in Rise and export it again. So everytime you export from Rise to production code, you'll have to add your custom code.

I really like what I see in the video.
This should be native functionality in Rise.
Interesting. They should change the name of the block from Code Snippet to something else if it doesn't actually execute code.

Hi Rory,
Thanks for the feedback. Do you have any suggestions for names that would make it clear that it's just to display code and not to execute it?
If so, let me know and I'll pass it on to our development team. :)
HI, do you know the code that was used to create the hover for the vocabulary words in the video?
