Fill in Blank capability in Rise

Sep 27, 2017

Hello,

I'm designing a Rise file for a group of employees who do not have their own computers. The training needs to be trackable, except they will be completing it on a shared desktop computer via a URL link.

My solution for tracking is to put a certificate of completion graphic at the end of the course that they can print and give to management for recording. But, I would like the user to be able to type his/her name on the certificate. Are there any fill-in-blank options...OR any other ways of achieving my goals that I may be missing? Thanks in advance.

Hey Shannon!

Great question and one that your colleagues have shared in the past.

Certificates/Course completion ceremony is something we have on the roadmap, but the ETA is not set. Articulate 360 subscribers will get the update as soon as it's released.

In the meantime, I'll defer to the community for any  creative ideas they may have :)

Hi Shannon,

Rise doesn't yet have a fill in the blank/text entry question type - but it sounds like a good one to consider!

In the meantime, what if you uploaded your Rise course to Articulate review.

  • You could instruct your users to comment when they've finished the course, and to do so they'll need to share their email.
  • Review will take a screenshot of what they're seeing when they comment and you'll then be notified of their completion.
  • All the comments will be visible in the feedback tab as well for other users - something to keep in mind.

Let me know if that works for you!
