Updating Sorting Activity Feature
Jun 18, 2018
Hi,
I use the sorting activity feature as a way to test the knowledge of my learners. Is it possible therefore to customise this feature please so that when the learner slots the card into the wrong category, at the end of the exercise, they get a message stating which card was slotted in the wrong category etc. Also, is it possible to change the way in which the results appear. Currently it would say for example - "21/24 cards were correct". Is it possible to change this so that it would give the learners a percentage of correct cards as well? Would it be possible to add a pass mark for the learner to achieve? I know I can do all this through a storyline block but I was wondering if this would be possible please and if other course creators are interested in this feature.

Hi there Angel! I'm happy to hear you're using the sorting lesson, and it sounds like you're looking for a few more features that will make it work even better for your learners:
I'll pass these right along to our Rise product team. If you think of any more ideas, we'd love to hear them!
Thanks Alyssa. I certainly will pass on more ideas.
Hello! Have these features been approved & launched yet?
Hi Nellenda! We're still tracking requests for changes to the Sorting block. Did you have some ideas for changes you'd like to see? Let us know how we can make Rise better for your team!
Hi, Alyssa!
I liked the idea up above of "when the learner slots the card into the wrong category, at the end of the exercise, (not immediately) they get a message stating which card was slotted in the wrong category etc. " Or if they try to sort in the wrong category, the card gets shuffled back into the deck for them to try again later. Just thinking of ways to make the sorting activity a little more challenging and help them to recall the information they learned in the course. Thanks!
It would be good to be able to set the number of cards to sort for longer lists Also the ability to add images and audio to cards would really expand the possibilities to use this for drag and drop.
Thanks for your ideas, Nellenda and Anthony!
