Hi Nicole. This is an amazing template. One question: when I am on the lessons slide, how do I get the checkmarks to appear once a lesson has been completed? I have 4 lessons and each slide branches out and comes back to the main lessons slide but then I wanted the checkmarks to show and then have the learner re-directed to the main menu slide. Many thanks!
Hi Beth! There is more than one way to to potentially set this up. Here is one way to do it:
On the Menu slide that branches to the four lessons, add a Checkmark shape next to each lesson name, and set it's initial state to "Hidden."
Now, on the Lesson 1 slide, create a True/False Variable called "Lesson1Viewed" (or whatever you want) and set it to False.
Add a trigger on the Lesson 1 slide that adjusts the Lesson1Viewed variable to "True" when the slide is visited.
Back on the menu slide, add a trigger that "Changes the state of the checkmark to Normal" when the slide is visited.
You can do this for each lesson slide. :)
Love this template!! I borrowed it for a course I'm working on now. The users of this course must click on each "button" before they can access a learning assessment. In other courses we've created, we use triggers based on changes in states. I'm having troubles getting the states for the template to work. I've set a trigger to change the buttons to "visited" when the user clicks but when I preview the course, the visited state isn't showing up. Any thoughts?
Thank you!!
Nice graphics, this is great! My learners have repeatedly asked for a gauge of their progress and this nice graphic shows them how many sections to review. Closer to a gauge without the numbers or a menu. graci'
Hi, how do I create the slides for each of the lessons? I see the instructions above for the templates but i'm not sure that worked for me (or if I'm asking the right question). Thanks
