Hi Sylvia!
If you click the "i" icon in the lower right for more information, you'll see all the info Chapman shares about this study, including a link to their page about it.
Regarding the numbers, it says: "Results are shown as ratios, showing number of hours of development to create 1 finished hour of learning (output)."
I hope that helps!
You're welcome, Rick! I'll definitely be keeping it alive and available. After all, I want to keep referring to it, too!
In case it's helpful, here's my blog post about it: http://www.jackievannice.com/?p=175071445
You're welcome, Sandra! It does take an amazingly complex topic and crystallizes it into information that's easy to use. I'm so glad it's helpful to you!
Thank you. This is so useful! I always tell myself to be better at tracking my time on projects (and I still will strive to be) but this is a great tool.
You're welcome, Adena! I'm glad it'll help.
My favorite (free!) tool for time tracking is Toggl, by the way. The easier and quicker it is to start and stop projects and tasks - the better. :)
This is awesome to explain our job to others too. :) Thanks for sharing.
Where do you usually get the icons or image from? or do you also design yourself?
Thanks!
You're welcome, Vivian! You're right - it does help explain our jobs to others.
Re: Images - I already had the wallpaper image, so used that. The clock is so simple you could make it in PowerPoint and save it down as an image, but in the interest of time I bought a vector clock I could customize - and it may have come from Dollar Photo Club.
I hope that helps!
Hi Jackie, do you think it is still accurate or up to date this estimation chart? I’m preparing a quote for a client right now and I'm not that experienced in project management. Don't know where to start to establish a detailed project budget...
Thank you so much for your help
Hi Céline! Personally, I think it does, but I've also talked to both companies and peers who continue to use it because it still seems to provide the best estimate. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your prompt response Jackie
I've found a new research ( 2020) on the topic :
