Sounds like you might want to create (or find) a Flash-based calculator app that you can insert.

The calculator's included at the top of this thread are the ones I normally point to, and I haven't seen one with a decimal point set up, but I hope that if there's a community member who has created one they'll be able to share it here with you!

Hey everyone, I think I've finally cracked the problem of allowing decimal entries using Dave Mozaelous' design that was shared above. Check out my newest version on the other thread I started here. It allows keyboard entry and decimal entry (up to the hundredths place).

If you are looking for a flash only calculator, be sure to check www.canpol.com/flash/kalkulator.swf as it may be exactly what you are looking for. You will need to obtain permission to use from the author though (and I have no clue who they are)...

Just posted this and saw a few other posts about calculators... so re-posting.

We have noticed a lack of calculators out there. A few of the examples out there don't calculate the decimal point correctly once calculated. If you want to create a calculator that has decimal places or +/-, before you do any calculations, you have to turn the number into a whole number. Multiply by -1 if the number is less than 0, and you have to keep track of your decimal place, multiply accordingly (if one decimal place, multiply by 10, two, multiply by 100), then divide by that same number and multiply by -1 again. It is mostly about keeping track.

This version should do the job. We have put this in our freebies at eLearning Locker where it will stay for about a week. It is normally part of the paid subscription, so please download it and use it as you like!

I'm hoping to revive an old thread here. The course we are building requires a scientific calculator that includes a fractions. The Windows calculator does not allow us to perform this function.

Does anyone know of a good scientific calculator application?

This does not have to be embedded in the Storyline file.

Not a question I believe I've seen in the forums and hopefully someone will be able to chime in and assist. Seems there are a few online options at first glance in Google search.

I have looked online and there are a tonne of options. I was hoping that someone in this fine community could actually recommend one. Hey, maybe a future plugin for Storyline from Articulate? :)

i think this is allowing only two numbers to calculate

i mean if i add 2 + 3 the answer is 5

If i add 1 + 2 +3 the answer is again 5
