Editing an existing PPT within Storyline & Engage

Apr 16, 2019

Hi Team,

My knowledge on Articulate is minimal. I've tried searching throughout the academy and can't find the answer to my problem.

I've been asked to edit a current PowerPoint with last years information and update it with this years. Originally, the drive was saved from another country and mapped onto my computer (not sure if this is part of the issue?).

I'm able to open the PowerPoint in Storyline and when I click on slides that were made within Engage, it offers the button 'Edit in Engage'; however, there's no option for me to manipulate a photo? Do I need to always create images separately/outside of Engage and then import them in?

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Hi, Stephanie. Welcome to eLearning Heroes! 😀

It sounds like you're looking to edit an image that's part of an Engage interaction, is that correct? If so, you're on the right path!

When you click on the Engage interaction in Storyline, an Engage Tools option menu will appear. From there, clicking on Edit in Engage will launch the interaction in Engage where you can adjust these properties in the media panel. Here's a quick Peek 360 recording of the process!

Could you share more detail on the changes you're looking to make? I'm happy to offer suggestions that align with your goal!
