Hi...each time I try to create new engage interaction, the message box says it is inserting...please wait...it gets about halfway through...and then does nothing. What to do? Thx. Michele
Can you please confirm that your interaction files and presentation files are local?
Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).
Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.
Thx much...after I wrote, I figured out what I was doing wrong. Now I have another question...I want the user to be able to download a document...is there a way to add a document? or, better yet, a way for the user to actually respond to questions on the program itself? Or a quiz? Thx.
Glad to hear you were able to resolve the first issue :)
What you're asking may be possible, but it depends on how you're distributing the interactions. Are you including your interaction(s) in a Presenter Presentation? If so, you could simply add a file attachment. If not, you may need to hyperlink to a file so the user may download the document to their machine.
If you're using the Studio '09 package, you can insert Engage interactions and Quizmaker quizzes into one presentation. I'm just not sure which programs you have access to. Engage interactions won't have the same functionality as Quizmaker quizzes, so again, it depends on what you're using and how you plan on sharing the project.
