Sharing an Engage color scheme with another developer.

Dec 30, 2013

Where would a custom color scheme be located so that I can choose it on a different PC from where an Engage interaction was created?  Hoping to have the chosen colors sent across to me via a shared folder.   Currently when I open an Engage interaction, it defaults to a black color background.

I tried looking under:

C:\Program Files\Articulate\Articulate Engage\schemes

But the colors were all the standard ones, none custom.

Thanks,

-H.

Hi there Hector!

Which version of Engage are you using, '09 or '13?

Here's some information on sharing schemes with '09, that should work with '13 as well:

To transfer a custom color scheme to another Engage developer, use the following procedure:

  1. Create any interaction type in Engage and apply the custom color scheme you wish to share.
  2. Save the interaction.  (There is no need to add any content to the interaction.)

Send the saved .intr (Engage interaction) file to a colleague.  When they launch the interaction in Engage on their computer, it will automatically place the custom color scheme in the appropriate directory.  This color scheme will now be available from the Colors drop-drown list in Engage for all other projects.

Let us know if you try that out and still have trouble with the custom colors.

Thanks!
