Sharing Color Schemes

Nov 22, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to share custom color schemes for Engage in Articulate 360?  We have created a custom color scheme in a singular Engage file, but cannot figure out a way to get that custom color scheme to populate in the color options list in a new Engage file.  (We will need to do the same for a QuizMaker custom color scheme as well.)

Any help with this would be great.

Thank you.

Hi Betsy!

When you create a custom color theme for an Engage 360 interaction, it'll be saved once the interaction is saved. When you start a new Engage 360 interaction on that same computer, you'll see the saved color scheme in your color menu dropdown.

If you want to share that color theme with someone working on a different machine, you can send them the .intr file the theme is used in. When they open the interaction in their own Engage 360, the custom theme won't appear in the color dropdown immediately. However, if they select Create New Theme Colors in that dropdown, it will pull up the current custom theme. They'll want to hit OK and it will populate the custom theme name to save it under. It will then be accessible through the dropdown.

I made a quick screen recording demonstrating this process which you can view here.

Just like in Engage 360, once a custom color theme is saved in a Quizmaker 360 .quiz, you'll be able to see it in your color menu dropdown when you begin a new quiz file on that computer. If you send the .quiz to someone on a different machine, it should automatically save the custom color theme to the Quizmaker color dropdown once they open and save the file.

Hope that helps clarify! Please let me know if you have further questions. :)
