After publishing extras show up

Dec 13, 2011

I'm having an issue with a presentation that looks great until I publish it.  After publishing when viewing it takes and moves around things that are in my design and adds extras.  for example I have an arrow in the design when I publish the arrow shows up twice and any text I have has disappeared.  When I go back to the powerpoint these extras have been added So to get back to the original presentation I have to delete the 2nd arrow from every slide.  I've grouped things in the design to try and get rid of this problem.  I have changed design.  Any ideas what more I can do?

Hi Barbie, and welcome to Heroes!

If your Slide Master (or layout) in PowerPoint includes grouped objects, you may encounter one or more of the following results when previewing or publishing with Presenter ’09:

  • An image, shape, or text box from one slide may also appear unexpectedly on another slide.
  • An image, shape, or text box may get duplicated on the same slide.
  • An image, shape, or text box may get deleted from a slide.
  • An image, shape, or text box that was previously deleted may unexpectedly reappear.

This is a known issue.  You can avoid this issue by ungrouping all the objects on the Slide Master. Hope that's helpful!
