When I started Presenter the other day, a dialog box popped up to inform me that an update is available... but I was already up-to-date with Update 8. And the version number matches the latest update listed on the Articulate site.
On my other machine as well, when I click on "check for updates," it says an update is available...
I had that happen, too -- and I had just reinstalled update 8 last week! I clicked on the link thinking that, perhaps, there was an update (praying for some fixes to those "quirks" in the software), but it just took me to the page about buying Studio '09. . .
Thank you we appreciate you looking into it. I was excited to see there was an update but it was like giving a kid a Christmas present and taking it back, mean! LOL!
same thing happened to me. i downloaded the update, but haven't yet decided to install it. when the install dialog box opened up, the options appeared confusing. ...
- Add/Remove Studio '09 Programs
-Reinstall
-Remove All
I don't want to uninstall and then risk losing Articulate Studio altogether.
Is it just me, or do none of these appear to be updates? If this "update" is in fact an update, why does it appear to be a program installation? There is nothing "update"-like in this update. Aren't updates automatic installation features, inherent with the "download the most recent update" process, like for example, Microsoft Office updates?

I encountered that on two machines yesterday and am wondering the same thing.

Just had the same thing happen to me this morning, and I'm pretty sure it happened to one of my employees yesterday.
What's going on, Articulate?
Thanks for bringing this up, guys. We're looking into it as I type this, and will update the thread ASAP.
No need to update the software at this time.

Hi everyone,
The "update" redirect should be fixed now. Sorry for the confusion.
