Animation sync NOT sync'ing

I've tried both recording and advancing through the animations simultaneously, and using the sync animation feature after the fact. In both cases, the timing I set through Articulate is completely off during playback... the animations are "ahead' of the VO by a fair bit.

This is a presentation originally generated and published using PPT 2003 and Articulate 2009, so I know it used to work. My system's been upgraded to PPT 2010, and I made some changes to it, leading me to re-record all the VO.

Yes, I could go in and move the markers, but that's a HUGE PITA and shouldn't be required.

Any pointers here? Am I missing something obvious? I have 28 more presentations to update, and the thought of having to manually sync animations in audio editor is not a happy one.
