Animations Not Working Properly

After publishing, the "Split" and "Shape" animations are not working properly. When a picture comes in using the "Split" animation, it may not join all the way, leaving a 1/2" gap between the two halves. When trying to exit a picture using the "Shape" option, it leaves a small round circle in the middle of the screen. Sometimes you can pause the slide, then click back on and it will finish exiting. Anybody else having this problem? We are using 2010 Powerpoint with "09 Articulate.
