ANNOTATIONS won't sync to AUDIO

Jan 30, 2012

Sometimes Annotations sync to audio and sometimes they don't.   I am trying to sync annoations to audio.  They look fine while I am in Articulate Annotation mode (play feature); however, when I get out of that mode and do a slide preview, I am seeing about a 2 second delay on the audio.   I am clicking re-annotate each time I try to fix the problem, to clear the previous annotations first.  I have even tried estimating the time delay and waited to annotate accordingly.  That works, but with less than perfect results.

Is there a remedy for this?

What's the CLEAR ALL buttons under Re-annotate supposed to do?  (There are two arrow buttons -- a single arrow and multiple arrows.)

Hi Deb,

I'd recommend sharing your files with our support engineers so they can take a closer look and work with you to find a solution. If you'd like to do that, please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Articulate Support - Upload Your Files for Review

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the information I would be uploading is proprietary.   If the content were less sensitive, I would certainly consider it.

I am going to try to upgrade my software and see if that helps (I purchased my current version about three years ago).

Would you anticipate any problems with my current courses if I do this?

Hey Deb,

Completely understandable. But please keep in mind, we take our customers' privacy (and our customers' client's privacy) very seriously, and any information uploaded to our support staff is kept strictly confidential.

Regarding updates, we released Update 8 for Articulate Studio '09 in March 2011, which contains fixes for a few minor issues caused by a bug in Adobe Flash Player 10.2.  To learn more about the issues addressed in Update 8, please review the following article:

This is not an automatic update. You can download and install Update 8 here:
