I am looking for advice ( this maybe a tall order) on how to publish an app with Articulate presenter, I have no problem attaching the app and it opens in slideshow in PowerPoint, and shows as a attachment in articulate when I publish it, but the attachment still wont open. I have being trying various methods for last few days with no success, if you have any ideas
What kind of "app" are you inserting into Presenter? Could this be an issue with the hyperlink itself instead of the app? To test this, insert the hyperlink on a normal slide (because I'm not sure the difference of what the app is), publish and test the hyperlink. If the hyperlink opens, then it is definitely an issue with this app. If it doesn't open, then the app has nothing to do with it and the issue is with the hyperlink itself. This helps us narrow down the issue.
Thanks a lot for your reply, its much appreciated, I am working on an eResource in Articulate as an Applied Project (eLearning Resource) for the final part of my Masters in Applied eLearning. This is why I am anxious to get it to work, the apps I am trying to embed ( if I cant embed them then to link them), is Wagmob “Electronics” app and “Electrical Engineering 101”app (using BlueStacks app player for Windows). I am trying to open them from within a slide.I can get the apps to open fine on slideshow but when I go to preview or publish, I get the message, link cant be found or invalid link, I have tried just about all the suggestions, but cant get over this hurdle, If you want I can send you shortcuts or links to the apps I am building into the resource. ( thanks again for any suggestions)
If they are web apps then you should be able to bring them in as web objects.
if they are physical apps this isnt going to work, flash will not be able to launch programs on your machine you may be able to do this using the publish to CD but expect the exe would need top be in the same folder
They are physical apps I downloaded to my machine,I bought them over the web. Is it possible to make them work as physical apps, if I published them to cd and put the exe file in the same folder (is this possible?
I honestly dont know, you may want to PM Steve Flowers he should know more.
Flash is designed to prevent this type of interaction with your machine, the projector created with the CD version will circumvent some of the security, but I just cannot see you being able to run a executable from a link.
From what yourself and Patti were saying, it would probably be a lot easier if I downloaded a web object, for eg, an app from Google app store, and then used the web object tool to bring it into my presenatation. I thought about this and looked and downloaded any available electronic apps on the Google app store, but frankly there not much good, they dont have the content or design,I would need for a masters project. So I am basically back where I started, would it be possible for me to move Wagmob Electronics from Google Play to Google app store and then use it as a web object in articulate, just an idea, any suggestions again really welcome.

Hi Patti,
Are these apps physical programs on your machine?
Or are they web apps?
