I have a PDF file that I have added as an attachment in my presentation. The attachment button is turned on. And when I preview the file I am able to access the attachment, i.e. I am able to open it. Once I publish I am no longer able to open the file. It is visible when I click on the attachments link, but will not open when clicked on.

You'll want to ensure that you're testing the content within the intended environment, or you could encounter local security restrictions and elements of your course may not work as expected.
