Articulate Powered Presentation

Jan 05, 2015

Hi,

I am a student with SATafe.  I use Moodle for learning.  I have a presentation to look at.  However some of the slides have the bottom line chopped off or half the pictures missing.  I can see a miniature version of the slide in thumbnail view but how can I see the whole thing in the normal screen.  I have tried zooming in & out full page, I have tried different browsers different computers even my ipad all to no avail.  It is pointless contacting my lecturer or the college as they are away until 27th Jan and I have assessment that are to be complete by then.  So this problem is inhibiting my learning.  Have attached a screenshot as an example. Kind regards Christine Matthews

Hmmm, it seems as the content is there but it is skewed.  I think you should try republishing it.

  • Publish from your c:\ drive. Do not publish from a network disk or USB stick.
  • Make sure the file has a default PowerPoint size. It's been a while since I've worked with Presenter'09 but I think it cannot handle custom sizes.

If all else fails try downloading the 30 day trial for Articulate Studio 13 and publish it with that.

I'm not sure is I published this in the right place. I am just trying to
'view' a presentation. I am unable to downloaded it view it as any other
document. So I certainly cannot publish it...well it's not my work to do
so anyway. It's a learning thing about Vital Signs meaning when a person
first turns up in hospital. Anyway I don't know what I can do to view this
properly so maybe I will have to do some other learning else where to get
the idea of what they are teaching. Kind regards Christine

Hi Christine,

If I understand correctly, you did not create this presentation, you are simply trying to view it. In that case, I would suggest contacting the administrator and let them know about the problem you are experiencing. It looks like there may have been an issue when the course was published, and no one realized it.

Best of luck,

Allison

Yes that is what I mean thank you Alison. Unfortunately I am unable to
contact the administrator or any one until after the 27th January, 2015
which is very frustrating as in-spite of the college & our lecturers being
on holidays the students are not and we have assessments due by the 27th!!
I am the only student from where I live and I do not know any of the other
students to ask questions. We do have online student lounge but I asked a
question there a couple of weeks ago & got a zero response!!!

I don't guess having this program would benefit me at all?

Anyway thanks again

Kind regards Christine Matthews

Oh that's terrible, I'm sorry that there is no one available to help you with this problem. The only other thing I can suggest is clicking on the Attachments tab and checking to see if they have included a printable version of the course.

When you say having this program do you mean Articulate Studio? Unfortunately, since this is the published version of the course, it won't do you any good to download the software because you would need the source file to be able to open and edit it.

Sorry I can't be of more help,

Allison

Thanks for your kind response....yes I did look the 'attachments' but
unfortunately that was not helpful. I did post the problem to the 'student
lounge' in our online classroom but there really isn't much I can do....I
read up on the subject elsewhere so I guess that will help. Thanks for the
advice about getting the Articulate Studio yes without the source file I
can't do any thing & I did try everything possible to try & downlload the
file lol Kind regards Christine Matthews
