Articulate Studio 9 - problem opening Audio Editor

I have inherited a project from a colleague. I need to make a couple of changes to the slides and cut out a bit of audio. She has been having trouble with the audio so before I did anything I also wanted to export the audio file.
After unpacking the zip file of the Articulate project to my C:\ drive I opened the ppt file and selected the Audio Editor button on the Articulate ribbon. It looks like it is working and then opens a dialog box with the title Audioedit.exe .NET Framework Iniitialization Error with the message 'Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application'.
Can anyone help me diagnose the issue and help me fix this?

Sounds like you need to check out this article for resolution and there is some information specific to Microsoft .NET Framework.
Thanks Leslie. Looks like I need someone with Admin permissions so I have forwarded your link to our IT guys and hopefully this will point them in the right direction.
