Audio being deleted from slides

Jul 29, 2015

Hi,

Has anyone else had issues with random pieces of audio being deleted when they are editing their pptx files?

One module has been completely wiped but then the other 10 modules seem to be ok. Seems strange. I often get an error message from Studio popping up saying it's going to have to close due to an error.

Does anyone else have similar issues?

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi, Sarah -

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues, but this information on Audio is Missing or Lost in Presenter '13 may be of assistance.

Can you please confirm that you are working locally? Please also see this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Articulate Studio '13, as well as How to Repair Articulate Studio '13

Please let me know if that helps, and you are welcome to attach your file here or a sample so that we can take a look if issues persist.

Hi Christie,

Thank you so much for your help. I have installed the updates, if this doesn't work I'll go through the other options one by one so that I can find the problem.

Unfortunately I am unable to work from my C: Drive due to employment IT regulations. I shall try and get this adjusted if all else fails.

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi, Sarah -- Thank you for the update and I'm sorry to hear that you may not be able to work from your C: drive. Perhaps it would be of some value to share with your IT Dept. that when using Articulate software, "working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources." as outlined in the Create, Edit, and Publish Articulate Presenter '13 Courses on Your Local Hard Drive article. I would say 9 times out of 10, when odd issues arise, it can be addressed by working locally on the C: drive.
