I have added background music for some slides in "Slide Properties", but when I preview the music only plays in the first slide but not in the other that follow. Any idea why and a solution?
Do you have the playlist assigned to the additional slides, or just the one? Take a quick look at this tutorial to make sure you haven't missed any steps in setting up the playlist for multiple slides.
If you're still unable to hear the audio, can you provide a screenshot of your slide properties, so I can see how you have it set up?
Also, is the audio file you're using on your local machine? Make sure you aren't using any media files, or presentation files that are on any external sources (like a network drive, USB drive, etc) because this may cause some unexpected problems.
I have reviewed Jeannette's tutorial many times but I can assure you I have followed instructions properly. As you can see from the screen shot, the clip is always the same, very short, except on slide 1. The audio is in the local machine in the project folder. I must say that I am using a Mac with Parallels. A friend of mine who has a similar set up has no problem
That's great, I'm glad you were able to take a look at the tutorial, I just wanted to make sure you'd had the chance to see it. I think I'm missing something through, did you post a screenshot? I don't see any attachments in this thread.
Are you able to post the .story file here, so I can take a look at it and see if I experience the same thing?
I did notice you have two playlists for the course. I'm assuming the first one plays, then the first slide with the second playlist plays, but not the following slides, is that right?
I'd still like to take a look at the file, itself, if you're able to share it. I'm not running Parallels here, but I'd like to see if I come across the same issue. You did mention that your friend is able to work with the audio with no problems. Is this with the same file, as well, or other files with playlists?
Also, are you able to recreate the issue in a new, blank project with the same audio playlist?
So sorry to hear you're still working with this. If the file won't upload here, please submit a support case with our tech team. You'll be able to attach a Presenter Package on the second page of the form. If you run into any issues with this, please let me know. Also, please share the case details with me so that I can follow the case progress.
Again, I apologize for the trouble. Hopefully we'll be able to find out what the issue is and get you up and running soon.
Doesn't sound like it wants to play today, does it?
You can go ahead and submit the support case and inform the tech team that you were unable to attach it, due to the size limit. They'll be able to share an upload link that's separate and will upload directly to the case.
An alternative would be to attach that second project file you were able to create where the issue was reproduced.
Thanks for your guidance Christine, but I think I will forget about background music for the moment since it is really not necessary for the course. I prefer to spend my time developing more courses and maybe I will find a solution in the process. I will let you know if I do.

Sorry Christine, here is the screen shot.
Thanks Tommaso

I haven't tried recreating the issue on a blank project. Maybe I better try that before I keep wasting your time. I will let you know the result.
No problem at all, you're certainly not wasting my time
Just let me know how it turns out.
Thanks!
NO luck with a new project. I get exactly the same behavior. I am trying to send you a zip file but it is 34MB and it won't upload!

The Presentee Package (40MB) won't upload either. Is there any limit? Or a different way I can submit the support case?
