Can't create or insert interactions to PowerPoint
Jul 31, 2015
Hi there,
I've had an issue today with creating or inserting interactions into PowerPoint. I am able to select the Engage interaction option from the Articulate Ribbon, select the format I want and enter a title, but then nothing happens - it simply closes. I then tried to create an interaction independently of PowerPoint, to insert it later, but the interaction wouldn't save.
I tried again on a different presentation (in the past there was an issue with the PPT file and this has sorted it) but the same thing happened. I have run a repair, and when this didn't work I uninstalled and reinstalled Studio 13.
I'm using Studio '13 and PowerPoint 2007. I was using the software yesterday with no problems.
Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Anne

Hi, Anne -- So sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing, and thanks for mentioning that you have already tried running the repair, as well as uninstalling/reinstalling Studio 13. It's also important to confirm that your project files are located on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior.
If issues persist, please feel free to share your files here and we will be happy to take a closer look for you.
Hi Christie,
Yes I was working from my hard drive.
I'm not sure why, but this issue magically fixed itself about an hour after I posted this message. I'll let you know if I have any further issues.
Thanks
Anne
Hi, Anne -- Thanks for confirming that you were working locally, and that the issue you were seeing no longer remains! Happy to hear you are all set :)
