My client wants to have separate videos of some of the slides I created. I go into the data files and try to convert the swf files, but none of my programs seem to recognize the swf files. Can anyone help with this? How do I convert my Articulate content to videos for my client?
The reason you're not able to convert the SWFs is because all published files are necessary for playback to work properly (not just individual SWFs).
Something you can try is, if your Articulate content does not include interactive elements (such as quizzes or user-initiated navigation), you can record your Articulate content as it plays, using a screencasting tool like Screenr (http://screenr.com) to capture a video of your Articulate content. The free version of Screenr is limited to five minutes of recording time, but Screenr Business will allow you to record for up to 15 minutes. You could then download and save the MP4.
Will PowerPoint 2010 pickup the narration from articulate? I found the option but does not look like it sees it and defaults to a 5 second slide duration.

Is that helpful?
Have you tried PowerPoint 2010? It lets you output to .wmv. The results are great.
Thanks for the great advice. Tom I was not aware of that output option with 2010 - thanks a ton. That will be very useful for future projects!

Hi Gary,
PowerPoint doesn't see audio inserted via Articulate. If you want the best of both worlds, you could record via SlideShow -> Record Narration.
I thought so. I just came across Microsoft Producer for Powerpoint and currently experimenting with it.
