Flash files don't work on copy paste
Feb 16, 2012
Hi again,
I forgot to mention this fault in my last post.
Has anyone had the problem where you copy and paste your files off a USB drive (I work at home and in the office) to put them onto a local drive and then the flash videos in the presenter bar and the ones in a new window don't work when published although the little flash video icon is still displayed in presenter.
i just re-inserted them all and it worked but it is time consuming given the amount of them and I was wondering if anyone knew the cause?
Thanks

I've also experienced flash and audio links missing when moving .pptx and .ppta files, in the past
that's why I choosed not to move project files, long ago. Honestly, I can't even remember if I reported this bug and this was solved in the latest Studio releases.
The problem is that they are absolute links and the flash file never gets imported, so if the usb drive letter is remapped or you move the location it will break the links, the ideal situation is as Stefano says dont move the files after linking
Ah yes, the USB drives assigned a different letter at work and home.
I work some days at home and some at work so not moving it would be a problem but given r feedback perhaps I should try assign a letter to the USB so it stays e same at work and home.
Thanks a lot guys!
