Flash (.swf) is removed while publishing

Jan 11, 2012

I am building a slide show that contains .swf files. On one particular slide i inserted a single .swf (through the Articulate "Flash Movie" method) and it imported fine. However, during publishing Articulate removed the file from the slide altogether. When i view the published presentation there's nothing at all on the slide. When I go back to the initial slide show (pre-publish) it is also gone from the slide.

I've tried several times but I can't get Articulate to stop removing the .swf. I have several other swf files placed at various intervals within the same .ppt. Each slide contains only one swf.

Thoughts?

Hey Mike!

If you haven't already had a chance to do so, I'd recommend taking a look at our article on Flash movie best practices. Things like your file path can cause issues with your SWF appearing correctly.

If you continue to experience issues, feel free to Create an Articulate Presenter Package and upload the zip file to us. One of our awesome support engineers will be happy to assist you in finding a solution. You can do that here:

If you do submit a case, please include the url to this thread and any pertinent info that will assist our engineers. And feel free to leave your case number here so that I can follow it personally. Thanks!
