Hello Marsha!

Can you give us a little more information around what you're trying to do accomplish? I searched your profile and didn't see any previous support requests.

You have a project and it doesn't publish? Are you including any Engage or Quizmaker files? Did you see this general overview of publishing for web? http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/publishing-a-presentation-for-the-web.aspx

Please let us know what's going on with your files! One of us will be happy to assist you.

Thank you Carla. So many time consuming issues have been going on. Yesterday, the articulate ribbon disappeared. I installed and uninstalled twice. Finally found the ribbon after hours. Then the publishing issues which took hours. I know I saved each Engage interaction when I created and inserted initially, but they were not there. I spent hours trying to get the daisy to disappear. It seems that Articulate could not find the interaction so each one had to be reinserted. That presentation was 26 slides long. I am about to start the process with the 86 slide presenation now. It also appears that voice recordings in ppt will not save in Articulate presenation. They all had to be redone in another presenation. The issue I posted last night was not that they didn't publish; I received  'sucess' message but when I played it.....most of it wasn't there. Also, when I want to use the Articulate presentaion in class but want to skip the quizzes and let them explore on their own time, how to I navigate that, Must I publish two versions with different parameters..one for posting and one for class that doesn't force continuation?

Sorry for the frustration, Marsha. It looks like you've opened a case and Sid has taken it. I see that he asked if you wouldn't mind sending him your files so he can do his best to assist with the issues you need help with. You can either reply directly to his email, or upload your files to him using the following steps. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Articulate Support - Upload Your Files for Review

Then simply include your case number (00292639) on the form so we can track it to the original case.

Thanks!

Hi Peter, I cannot figure out how to respond to Sid directly. The files appear to be fixed now. It took several more hours. When I published and previewed, the quizzes and interactions were not there. The message was that articulate could not find them. The presentations were 25,26 and 80 something slides so I had to go through and re-enter each one. The place where articulate stores the files on my presenations (my Articulate Projects) is not the place where the separate quizzes and interactions are;so I have to locate them and re-insert. Luckily, I named the slide and the interaction the same thing. This is frustrating and time consuming. I know I previewed and saved each one as I was creating them initially. But the save appearsnot to be in the presenation,. but a file folder. I am not sure why this is happening. Now that I have finally figured it out, I can troubleshoot this issue if it occurs again, but it is alomost like doing things twice. I am not sure why my experience is not similar to everyon else's. Everyone in the community seems to be just flying along, no worries. Their questions appear to be on a level differnt than mine. I am afraid to try anything new because the process has been very probematic for me and it takes hours to figure out the issues. I see the power of the program and look forward to my student's reaction and enhanced experience, but the learning curve has been very steep. One of the things that was not clear to me initially was that once in articulate, the 'record' option in PPT and the 'record narration'option in articulate will not both be saved. I am still not sure what I did to make the articulate ribbon disappear in the middle of all this. Having someone to call would be helpful to get issues solved in a timely manner so I can move on. I huess I am not as E saavy as I should be; I am back in written manual mode. I appreciate the responses to my queries, it's just that I am stopped in the water until someone responds. I have many quizzes/assessments to transfer to articulate but it looks like it won't be this year with this many technical issues that are proving to be significant barriers. Long story short, I think the files are fixed. I won't know for sure until I upload into Blackboard. The only question I know I have at the moment (in additon to how to save work the first time correctly) is how to use an articulate presentation in class when i want to skip quizzes or some aspects of an interaction. Thank you for listening. m

HI Marsha

Apologies again for the issues you ran into with locating files. If you're interested, we have a really useful article with tips on file management that might help prevent that in the future. And you may want to check your spam or junk email folders to see if our support email ended up there. Our support emails come from support@articulate.com, so you may want to ensure that the address isn't blocked by your email administrator.

Our forums are a great place for common troubleshooting steps, but you're always welcome to contact our support team directly here, and please feel free to reach out to me or any of the other Articulate community staff personally if you need assistance in the future.

As far as using a presentation in class without the quizzes or interactions, it sounds like you'll just want to remove them from the course and save the new presentation under a different name. Let us know if you need further advice. Thanks for sharing!
