Hi all. I was helping someone else out earlier today with a font problem. For a test, I tried the Goudy font in a slide. When I published it, the text looked terrible. Is there a reason Articulate doesn't accept the Goudy font? It's a font in PowerPoint. I just assumed Articulate would have have made all the default PP fonts available and look good with the Articulate application.
it should come over as it should be embedded into the published swf file.
I tried both the Goudy fonts I have. here is the published result. they look like they do in the PPT file. if you really want to use it, you could save the text box as a picture then import as such.
Hmm.. I wonder why it doesn't work on mine, then. When I use it, it scoots the text box too far over to the right and then overlaps some of the words.... Although, I do have an old version of PowerPoint. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I hope not.
I like the idea of saving the box as a picture and trying that. Thanks, Dwayne.
I'm still curious as to why Goudy doesn't work with my files, though...
Do I have to save the text boxes as pictures and then reimport them into PowerPoint? I was hoping I could just save them as a picture and that was it. I tried that, though, and nothing changed.
Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09 which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so we can follow up with you in the forums.
Alrighty!! Thanks to the great help of the Articulate staff (especially Vira!), it was discovered that I don't even have that font installed on my computer! I have no idea why it would show up as an option in PowerPoint if it's not installed on my computer, but it was. My company ended up having a lot of different fonts installed on a network we all could get to, so once my boss showed me how to get to them, I installed the Goudy fonts I wanted onto my computer, and everything is working great now!
So my advice to people who have similar problems is to double check that the font is actually installed on your computer first. Thank you very much to Vira and the rest of the great Articulate staff!

Hi Tammy,
Is your DPI set to 120 instead of 96?
Nope. It's 96, Brian.
Hi Tammy,
I would suggest you submit a case by following the steps below.
Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Okay. I'll do that. Thanks Brian.
