Graphics shifted during publishing

I have a course that looks good in PowerPoint but when I view the published course I notice a number of the graphics are shifted. Here's one example:

This is what the correct graphic looks like.

And this is what it looks like after being published.

 Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do I fix it?

I found something which leads me to believe this is a "known issue". 

"If you include lines or arrows with a shadow in your presentation, you may find that they are misaligned or offset when published."

I built my little stick people with lines which is likely the problem.  It's just a pain to have to convert things to image files since it makes making changes more involved.  Oh well.
