Help needed: Presenter not opening project file

Feb 12, 2018

Hi,

I've been working on a training project and I updated it a little over a week ago. When I opened it to work on it today, it seems that the PowerPoint file saves with today's date, but the Articulate file is still on the last date that I updated it. In addition, every time I try to Preview my slides or use any of the Articulate features, I get a popup screen that says "Presenter was unable to open project file."

I use Articulate Studio '13. The file is saved on my desktop, but the interaction and recording files are saved on my company's server. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do??

Thank you,

Zaynah

Hi Zaynah! I'm happy to help you here.

First, you'll want to be sure your presentation file, interaction files, and recording files are stored on your local hard drive (this is typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency, but here's more information on how you can prevent that from happening!

Try saving all of the files related to your presentation into one folder on your local hard drive. You should have a .PPTA and a .PPTX file in that folder. Let me know if that helps!
