Hyperlink Underlines

Sep 26, 2017

The hyperlinks look normal when I am creating my presentation slides, however once I preview or publish, the underlines for the hyperlink appear several spaces down from the hyperlinked word itself and/or out of alignment. I'm using Windows 7 and Studio 360. See attached screen shot example.

Thanks for the screenshot, Loren! I can help you sort this out. A few initial things you'll want to check:

  • Be sure you are working from and publishing to your local hard drive.
  • Be sure your system meets these requirements.

Beyond that, I'd like to have a closer look at your file. Would you mind packaging the file and sending it my way? You can attach it here in a new thread comment.

I just saw this reply. I ended up going through the email support help desk and have been troubleshooting back and forth for weeks. I'm desperate to get this thing figured out as it's really holding me back on my timelines to get these new courses published to our LMS site. But maybe you'll figure something out that we haven't uncovered yet! :)

Not sure about your theory however when I look at the text within the PPT file it looks liked a normal hyperlink. When I either preview or publish the module that is where the misalignment occurs with the hyperlink text.

I seem to have partially fixed the issue by changing the spacing between the letters. This isn't a proper solution however it seems to have sorted out my immediate issue.

Would be good if Articulate could provide a definitive fix on this as it has come up for me in many modules.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for sharing what you are experiencing.

Hi Andrea,

I took a look and I'm not seeing where you shared a file with our team, so I do not have an update to provide.

Kelly/Andrea - Our previous finding indicated that this issue was specific to those using a DPI setting of more than 100%.

  • Can you confirm what DPI setting you are using?
  • If you're already using 100% DPI, would you be able to share your Articulate Package for us to take a look?
    • With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
