I can't use articulate in power point

Jul 10, 2020

I have updated my version of word.  As far as I know my powerpoint slides are numbered. When I click the articulate button whilst in power point and try to do something, like add icons, I get the message:

we are sorry something went wrong with articulate presenter and it might close.  You can send us information about what went wrong .......

I am also struggling to upload power point into storyline but that isn't really a problem now as I am using Rise.

Any suggestions about what I need to do would be gratefully received.

Hi Lynn!

So sorry you're running into trouble! I'm happy to help.

Let's start with removing the Articulate tab from PowerPoint and then adding the Articulate tab back into PowerPoint!

Here are the steps:

  1. In PowerPoint, go to the File tab on the ribbon and click Options.
  2. Select the Add-Ins tab on the left side of the window that appears.
  3. Go to the Manage drop-down again, and select COM Add-ins and click Go.
  4. Uncheck Articulate Presenter IPC Handler.

Close PowerPoint and reopen PowerPoint. Repeat steps 1-4 but this time make sure to check Articulate Presenter IPC Handler.

This should do the trick! Keep me updated if you hit any snags!

Hi Anjuli,

Thanks for reaching out! There are a few reasons why you might be unable to import your PowerPoint file. Take a look at this article below:

If you need help sorting through this, please share your PowerPoint file with our support team, and they can take a closer look!
