Image with hotspots - recording & displaying what's been clicked

Hi All,
Great community here
I'm creating an elearning course with Presenter, where the 'main menu' is a picure. I want users to click on various hotspots, which will then move them to different parts of the course. After completing the branch, they will return to this starting image ready to select another hotspot.
Adding hotspots, branching to different areas and returning to the starting point are all easy. But I need some way of:
i) ensuring that all items have been clicked
ii) Changing the picture in some way (a tick or whatever) to record that an item has already been selected
Is this possible in Presenter, or should I think again?!

Hi Ian:
Should we assume you are making this menu in QM?
If so, are you using the Hyperlink for this function?
If you are using the Hyperlink function in you HotSpot in QM, you are limited to not having a visited state.
If you are doing all this in PowerPont directly, you can maintain visited states.
Example: http://www.ehow.com/how_5920632_change-visited-color-powerpoint.html
I would recommend using powerpoint Shapes (i.e. rectangle) where the shape initially has no outline of fill colors. Once vistied, the shape then has a fill color.

Thanks for your help Dennis. Sorry to take so long to reply.
I was planning on doing this in PowerPoint directly, but I'm not married to that approach. I will have a play with your suggestions

Ian
