Imported swf resolution looks fuzzy

Jun 11, 2013

Hi,

I've imported several swfs that I created with SnagIt and sized them 720x540. After publishing, the first swf looks fuzzy and then when I go to the next slide and return to that slide with the embedded swf, it looks clear. (And the remaining swfs after the first look fine as well.) Does someone know how I can fix it so that the first swf that appears in the course looks as it should? I did notice that when I come to the slide with the first swf, it looks like it jumps in window...like it's readjusting itself?

Thanks,

Angela

Hi Angela,

Quick question - how are you viewing the published presentation when the SWF gets "fuzzy"? Are you viewing it locally by any chance?

If you view a published Studio '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:

I'm not sure if that will affect the SWF, but it might be a good idea to try uploading the course to a server for testing, if you haven't already.

If the issue remains, can you tell me what web browser you're using? If you view the presentation in a different browser, does that first SWF still seem distorted, or fuzzy, when you view the presentation?

Thanks!
