iOS compatibility issue

Feb 01, 2013

Hello every one.

Hope you're doing right...

At work, we use PowerPoint 2003 and to improve and publish our presentations we use articulate 09 (Presenter 09 - Engage Articulate 09 - Quiz Maker articulate 09  - Video Encoder 09)

That we do is very simple, we start by creating the course in PowerPoint, then we add some interactions and animations with articulate... and then we go to the «ARTICULATE» option and save our improved presentation in a Web version. Finally we take our .zip and we upload it to our LMS platform (EKP silver version)...

The problem we are having right now, is that our contents are not working in the iOS devices and we don't know what to do....

A lot of our clients and employees are working in this kind of device and they've already asked us about this issue...

Do you have an idea or advise on this pblm...

thanks in advance... were waiting for your answers...

Here some images on what we are doing (saving process)

thanks again

Hi Pablo. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Currently, iOS devices are not supported by Studio '09. However, I'm going to provide some information below that may help you work with this. Hopefully some of the suggestions below will allow you to work with your presentations on mobile devices.

The next version of the Articulate Studio products will also publish to HTML5 and run on iOS devices. Although we can't confirm the release date of future products and upgrades, you can stay informed by subscribing to the Articulate Word of Mouth Blog here:

In the meantime, if you want to run your Articulate Studio '09 content on non-Flash supported devices, we're aware of several third-party solutions that may meet your needs. Please be advised, these are not developed or supported by Articulate, so we encourage you to test them out to ensure they meet your needs.

HTML5 player:

iSWiFTER browser app for iPad:

Rover browser app for iPad:

Screenr:

If your Articulate content does not include interactive elements (such as quizzes or user-initiated navigation), you can record your Articulate content as it plays, using a screencasting tool like Screenr (http://screenr.com), to capture a video of your Articulate content. Screenr is free, and screencasts can be viewed on iPads and iPhones directly from the screenr website. There are also options to publish your Screenr screencasts to YouTube and to download MP4 versions, both of which also play on non-Flash devices.
