Issues when publishing Articulate with videos added?

Oct 04, 2013

Hi,

I am currently having an issue with using videos in articulate. I add videos into PowerPoint through articulate (no problem) and have this loaded the zip file onto our LMS system but when we preview the slide with the video and scroll the bar to the start of the slide again the whole template zooms out and is tiny? The is no way to get rid of this issue either once is appears.

I have been told it may be to do with javascript function called Zoom() which is in the content causing the zoom effect but i am not a web (coding) person and do not understand why this would be happening.

Any ideas?

Thanks and Regards,

Cherie

Hi Cherie and welcome to Heroes!

Have you tried to see if it happens outside of your LMS as well? If you'd want to test it in SCORM Cloud (a free, industry standard testing method) that'll help us determine if it's an issue with the Presenter file or the LMS. If you're able to replicate it within SCORM, are you able to create a Presenter package and share it with us here to test or send along to our Support team?

Thank you for your reply,

I tried a test version from our zip file and the same is still happening.

We took a video of this happening a few days back which i have tried to attach hope it is received. This will show you the problem we are having. A few people have mentioned it might be the way it is imported onto the slide but I have done this as it says to, could this be the case?

Let me know if there are any further ideas.

Thanks and Regards,

Cherie

Hi Cherie,

Since you were able to replicate it within SCORM Cloud, can you share the Presenter file including the video file with our Support team? They'll be able to do some more extensive testing. You'll also have the option on the second page to record a screencast there of what is happening to give them a better idea.
