Launch presentation in new window unchecked, but still showing

You mention disabling the launch in new window, but still seeing a launch page. Are you viewing the HTML5 output? If so, there will always need to be a launch page as the HTML5 output does not allow for auto play. If I'm misunderstanding your question, can you provide a bit more information about your set up and how you're testing this (i.e. browser, LMS, etc.). The other way you may want to test is by loading the course to a site such as SCORM Cloud, which is an industry standard testing method to see if you're able to replicate the behavior there. 

I'm testing it with my company'sLMS.  I did try using scorm cloud, and I got the same problem and actually the course didn't load at all on there.  I got an error message saying "can't read LMS API' and a lot of debug errors.  I'll list them here although I'm not sure if you could help with these:
