I added an mp4 video into a PowerPoint presentation and published it. The preview is fine. I then zipped it and uploaded it to Essential Learning's Elevate. Suddenly, there is no sound. How can this be? It plays perfectly in Preview format!
What method did you use to insert the video? Did you insert it using the PowerPoint ribbon, by any chance? Or did you use the Articulate Presenter ribbon to insert the video?
Since this is happening on your LMS, would you mind testing your course in SCORM Cloud to help us determine if the issue is Articulate related or if it's on your LMS's side? If it appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on. If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team. The articles here and here may also help clear up common LMS issues.
Thank you for the helpful response. I figured it out ( I think). When I created the .mp4 file in Camtasia (and saved it with my Camtasia files), there was also a .swf file. I needed to move both of those into the folder with the .pptx and .ppta files before publishing. It finally worked.
