Move Path Animations Jerky

Nov 11, 2011

I can't seem to get Articulate to publish the animation for pictures and text smoothly.

Especially the case with move path animations, they look like something out of an Atari!

Is this a common problem or is this something specific to my PC.

I always publish at CD quality and i run the presentation locally so it isn't network related.

The final presentation is around 65mb so i dont see this as being the problem either.

Any help would be great

Hi, Steve:

You've probably already done this, but  make sure you haven't moved the beginning of the motion path that PowerPoint sets up for you. If it's jerky at the very beginning and then smooth, you've moved the point from what PPT has set.

The motion paths when put into Articulate are a bit jerky, but I think that's the nature of the beast, at least for know. --Daniel

I have the same issue - using small png files with motion paths that are sometimes just straight lines other times they are built-in ppt animations that theoretically should work.  Have ensured that I did not accidentally move the path beginning - the path is jerky and choppy the entire length.  I've tried adjusting the frame rate and the quality both higher and lower as well as optimized for web.  All animations except "fade" look terrible.  My overall file size is very small and the highest pic resolution is low to medium.

Suggestions, anyone?  I'd be grateful...
