Moving Presenter

Hi,

I need to move presenter from my desktop to my laptop. I have created the back-up zip files but am unclear on how to use them when I move to the new computer. Do they unzip and create a new My Articulate Projects folder and install themselves, or do I need to do that manually?

What other things should I be aware of when moving Presenter to a different computer?

Hi Steve!

To transfer your Articulate Studio '13 license from one computer to another, do the following:

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Uninstall Studio. Your license will automatically be deactivated when the software is uninstalled.
  3. Install Studio on the new computer.
  4. Activate your license on the new computer with the serial number provided in your product confirmation email.

To backup your project, move it to another location, or share it with another developer, create an Articulate Package. Then move the resulting zip file to another location, or send it to another developer. For details, see How to Create an Articulate Package - which will explain saving and unzipping in the new location as well.
