My manager and I are using Studio 13 to create several courses for our company. My manager recorded narrations on her computer and saved the PPT to our company's network drive. I access the drive from my computer and will try to preview the course or make revisions to the slides but sometimes the narrations drop or are missing.
What is the disconnect between her saving it to the drive and me trying to open it on my computer?
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Studio isn't designed to work from a network drive, so you may see erratic behaviour if you try and use it that way and loss of audio is typical.
To share work your manager would need to save their project as an Articulate Package and send that zipped folder to you and when you extract the files that should allow you to continue working on them on your C:/ drive
Do you know if there's any way to recover the lost narration?
Is there a workaround or an easier way to do this?! My manager and I are constantly going back and forth with edits and having to package and save the course to each of our hard drives every time we edit seems very time consuming.
If you need to share files back and forth, we recommend following the directions here to package your Presenter files, and then when you need to edit them, we suggest doing so on your local drive and fully extracting the files.
