I know how to set the navigation to "restricted", but I can't figure out how to get the pop that says "you can only view slides you've already visited". that's what I want.
Are you using Studio '13? The way restricted navigation is indicated has changed from the pop-up that was displayed in Studio '09. Here is a previous discussion related to that. If you could let our development team know you'd like this feature bysubmitting a feature request.
Is it an option for you to include these instructions at the beginning of the course and/or in the course description in the LMS or any communications the learners get prior to launching the course?
You could even make your introductory notice look like a pop-up box at the beginning of your course.
I have looked at the post and didn't see any solution. Are you saying this feature no longer works in Studio '13? I need them to see the pop up when they click like this picture I've inserted.

Correct that pop-up message isn't available in Studio '13
Any particular reason?
I'm not sure what that decision was based on.
is there any way to add a pop or other alternatives?
Hi Raymona! Not built within the program other than the lock icon that will display on the next button.
Mike shared a suggestion above and I'm not sure of any other creative ways that those in the community have filled this need if they needed it.
