Not able to annotate in Presenter '13

I just upgraded Wednesday to Articulate Studio '13.  Today I republished an existing course (because I had made a couple of small changes.)  The player is different, so I had to go in and change a lot of the options on the player to make it more like it was before.  I need to redo the annotation, because it points to where the Notes and Outline tabs used to be.  But it doesn't work.  I go into annotate.  I tell it to start.  I hear my audio.  When it gets to where I want an arrow, I click (having already selected my arrow) and nothing happens.  I get the crosshair.  I've tried other annotation tools.  Nothing.
