Performed upgrade on version 13 now getting an error

When powerpoint starts I am getting a popup that says unexpected error, quitting.

Any help or do I need to go back a version?

Hey Michael,

First, I just wanted to welcome you to the E-Learning Heroes Community (although I wish it were under brighter circumstances)! So sorry this is happening, but thanks for taking the time to reach out here about it. I'd recommend first running this repair on your software to see if it resolves this behavior. 

If you run into a snag or continue to see this error after running the repair, reaching out to our Support Engineers directly via this form would be your best bet to get this squared away as quickly as possible. Our engineers are pretty incredible, and once they receive your case they'll be able to troubleshoot further with you until you're back up and running! Thank you, I will install again tomorrow morning, the user is actually using her computer for other work.
