Player controls cut off by player frame

I have a published course that operates well in our LMS for the vast majority of learners.  However, there is one learner whose view is cut off at the top and bottom.  This truncates the player controls at the bottom and the header bar at the top.  The learner is viewing the course using Internet Explorer 8, as are other learners who do not have the problem.  When the learner with the problem expands her window to full screen, the frame remains the same size, continuing to cut off the controls and header.  The learner does not see a scrollbar.
